ABOUT MS. CORRY TICKNOR
“Hi Corry, The trip overall went well. The option plus was a really nice feature that I would probably use again. The resort was a nice size for getting around and we were able to book all 3 specialty restaurants. The waterpark was a nice add on to give the kids something else to do. The only real downside to the resort was the rooms were really run down and in need of renovating. We had a couple of issues in our room but the Air Transat reps were quite good actually and were able to communicate for us to fix the issues. The weather was beautiful and everything was relaxing. We booked a horsebackriding excursion before we left home with Horseplay and I would highly recommend it for anyone. Thanks again for your expertise! Janet”

ABOUT MS. CORRY TICKNOR
“Hi Corry We had a wonderful time. The flight was amazing. what a great airline. As for the resort- the rooms badly need to be renovated but the rest of the hotel was nice and very clean. I was a little disappointed with the activities as they were not well advertised. If i was to compare it to Canadian standards i would say it was a 3 star resort. I'm not the best person to ask about the food as something did not agree with me so i pretty much ate rice the entire week. The rest of my family liked the food but did not love it. The resort of course was catering to a wide range of cultures and clearly they tried to please everyone. unfortunately we do not enjoy other cultures food so the buffet was a bit limiting. We had a great time though and loved relaxing, the beach, the waterpark. food 6/10 entertainment 5/10 sports facilities 7/10 accomodations 6/10 resort common area 10/10 beach 10/10 pool area 9/10 overall cleanliness 8/10 friendliness 7/10 thanks so much for booking this for us we had a wonderful family time together. It was a great experience. no regrets the Sawatsky family”

ABOUT MS. CORRY TICKNOR
“Wow! what a wonderful trip we had. We had 3 beautiful days of hot sun and the rest were sun cloud mix and around 27 degrees. It was wonderful. We met a lot of great people there and the resort workers were very friendly. We had 4 a-la-cart dinners which we were told is exclusive to canjet, while sunwing and the rest only gets 3. We used 3 of them, the buffet was too good :) Over all this was the best trip and resort ever! We met a lot of people who said this was there 5th year going there, and a lot of people who said it was there 2nd and 3rd year going there. Tells you something about the resort right and people. We took one day trip which was the catermaran and it was incredible it was a 75ft long boat which held about 50 people, we stopped and snorkled and then swam with the dolphins after our lobster lunch!! All in the sameday, usually swimming with them is a trip all on it's own, this one was combined all for $100 each. It was amazing. It was also a great family resort as they had a day care and stuff for the kids, we don't have kids but a lot of people there did, they have an awesome water park for the kiddies. We spent a lot of time on the beach having drinks delivered to us which was amazing!, and I did a lot of snorkling as they have a ship wreck just out alittle off the beach which was home to a very wide variety of fish. Lots of star fish and things to see under the water, some very poisonous like the famous cone snail, but you just have to steer clear and know what your looking for. during the day they had different games they got people to do on the beach which was great entertainment and a buffet down on the beach which was great when you got hungry. Night time entertainment was awesome with live Cuban bands playing in the lobby every night and then if you had enough of that or wanted something alittle more toned down they had a piano player named Jillian play in the bar, she was by far the best piano player I've ever heard. The shows were great that they put on, they had a lot of dancing and a live band play, it was good, entertaining. Over all Angela and I kinda knew we wanted to go to this resort before we booked with you, we just wanted to check out some of the others that you'd offer. We already wanna go back, and I would highly recommend you let others know about this resort as it was amazing and they will find it amazing too. Overall great value for the price, it is a place we would definitely go back to. Thanks a lot and we will be in touch for our next trip. Jevon and Angela”

ABOUT MR. LARRY LACZKO
“ Trip was excellent. Only hiccup was on the way home we were delayed by 5 hours so did not get back to Saskatoon until 3:30am which made a tired day at work yesterday. Food was great, waves were perfect for Willis and Jayda. they were on boogie boards (FREE) every day as waves were tame enough for them to do so (in the shallow water), we ended up with 2 queens and 1 single so the two kids did not even have to share a bed, entertainment was ok (have seen better) but kids enjoyed it. Circus the first night and Michael Jackson show and MInute to Win it competition otherwise the rest of the nights were the same dancers/singers.Pools were not the warmest but we don’t spend much time there. We walked through the Riu Palace (which we weren't supposed to I guess) and they had a very warm pool but didn't seem to be as kid friendly so glad we picked the Jalisco. There was also a kids paddling pool (2 feet deep) with 3 slides and a mushroom fountain that we spent some time in everyday - this was a good surprise as we didn't see any pics or hear anything about a little kids pool on trip advisor. A bit of a misunderstanding with Jacuzzi as there is no hot tub but rather some jets in a circle pool connected to the cold pool. The chef was also really good when we talked to him about Willis' allergies - he would tell us which foods he could/couldn't have or make something special for him. We had the sunwing rep translate his allergies onto a paper for us that we would show the cooks if they didn't speak English very well. Weather was fantastic rained for maybe 2 hours the whole trip. In the end this has been our favorite resort that we have stayed at and really like the RIU would stay in another one for sure. We walked through the Riu Vallarta and ours definitely looked better - more updated. Rooms were newer and clean - beds a bit hard but not uncomfortable. The resort was quite tidy as they cleaned up quickly after people. No huts/umbrellas on the beach front part but vendors rented umbrellas for $10 a day if you wanted. There is only one set of 4 slow elevators so if you want a room not on the main floor and don't want to walk or do stairs then you better get a room close to elevators. We were almost as far away from elevators as you could get but didn't matter that much to us. We did the stairs lots - there are 100 stairs to get to the 5th floor. I know this because I had to count them with Jayda as we went up!! Thanks again Kathy We will need your services again next winter!”
